Should Afrikaners Apologize For White Government's Conduct?
Jan Lamprecht - 6/27/2006
In the history books, and the writings of Nelson Mandela, you will find that Nelson Mandela officially started the war against White South Africans on December 16, 1961. MK, the armed wing of the ANC was formed and from that date, operating until 1994. During the 33 years, blacks and whites of this country were at war. And during a war, many things happen. Many of these so-called atrocities were just part of the war. So if one wants to criticize Apartheid as a system, then it is unfair to include in that criticism acts of war. In fact, since Mandela and others claim that Apartheid was their real motivation (which I doubt), if that were true, then one needs to only examine Apartheid from 1948-1961 (a mere 13 years) - because that, supposedly, is the time period during which whites did terrible things which caused blacks to go over on to a war footing. But you will not find much violence happening in that period because Apartheid was a pretty peaceful system. Anything after 1961 is the result of a white response to a black declaration of war made by Nelson Mandela himself. The so-called "Violence of Apartheid" is a mythology they dreamed up about defensive actions by the White Government of the day. Their own offensive or repressive actions are represented as "emanating from the violence of Apartheid". This is a complete lie.
Any government, anywhere in the world, acts when there are riots, violence and murder, and the Apartheid Government of the day reacted no differently. What is constantly covered up and ignored is that the ANC or PAC were the source of the violence as the first attackers. They were revolutionary organizations intent on overthrowing the White Government through force. Their statements on this are clear and are a matter of historical record. But now, there are many subtle twists added to this historical record to try to pretend that Apartheid was just a "violent system" and that these "peace-loving" people were somehow murdered for no good reason.
Now, the blacks and liberals these days may want to try to fool themselves, but the Soweto uprisings, the attack on the Sharpeville Police station, etc were acts of war initiated by the ANC! The kind of revolution that the ANC and PAC tried to stir up in South Africa (which they never achieved) was a type of French Revolution where the blood would flow in the streets. They tried to light a fire in the hope that it would burn out of control. Their greatest success was the 1976 uprising. And to this day, they milk the 1976 uprising for everything they can get out of it.
The ANC has a long history of exploiting innocent black children as cannon-fodder. In all the liberation struggles in Southern Africa, children were involved. So let us not kid ourselves. The ANC was making use of children as ‘child soldiers’ - a hideous crime, and which still carries on in much of Africa.
Here, below is a cartoon, from Die Beeld at the time, depicting the abduction of black children at gunpoint by SWAPO in Namibia. Black children in Namibia and Rhodesia were abducted by gunpoint and led into neighbouring territories from whence they were sent to Tanzania, Libya and other countries in the Warsaw Pact, for military training as soldiers. School children were abducted and taken for communist indoctrination and training in terrorism and warfare.
This practice was very common in Rhodesia as well. While the ANC did not actually abduct that many children in South Africa, they did instead use children to murder adults and to intimidate them. It was the ANC who had the slogan "liberation before education".
So let us not kid ourselves about the 1976 Soweto uprisings. These things were not just spontaneous events, as the ANC now claims. These were orchestrated acts intended to draw a response from the Apartheid government, which did react. And why? Well, these children were stoked up and were hell-bent on violence - and they were not just smashing things to bits, they were also killing people.
This country was surrendered by President FW De Klerk, at CIA and MI6 prompting, before the ANC achieved a military victory. One of the main reasons was to protect the investments of British & American companies here. Another reason was so that through this "act of kindness", the CIA & MI6 would try to turn the ANC into a "moderate puppet" organization, whose strings they could pull so as to "moderate" it and keep it in the Western sphere of influence. The ANC was by no means in military control of this country. It was causing trouble and was able to spread terror in the townships, but the ANC was still decades, if ever, away from an outright military victory. This country was handed over on a plate to the blacks in the hope that they would be grateful - which they are not.
Let me add too that the blacks are something like a dog which chases a car. The question is: What will the dog do if he catches the car? Well, the ANC have the car, and now they haven"t got the faintest clue how to drive it. So, like the dog, they stand around barking and mouthing off, hoping that maybe the car will drive itself! (This is also known as President Thabo Mbeki’s African Renaissance)
Let us set some facts straight here, which even FW De Klerk himself, Nobel Peace Prize winner that he is, has admitted publicly. De Klerk said that the blacks should be grateful that the whites handed over this country to their avowed enemies! He said it was a big step on the part of the whites. Indeed, it is an unprecedented step in history.
Furthermore, blacks whine non-stop about a few hundred dead. They forget that whites here were armed to their teeth and could have killed them all. This country had nuclear weapons, and many tremendously advanced conventional weapons to protect it from outside intervention. If this had been a fight to the death, then black corpses would have littered every square foot of this country. That so few of them were killed attests to the tremendous restraint the Apartheid Government of this country had to the never-ending provocation and acts of outright terrorism.
A friend of mine, who was one of those soldiers in the townships facing mobs of blacks hell-bent on violence, told me that he shot the rioters dead. He and others were there, with their rifles, and their commanding officer would point out the key agitators within the crowd and order the killing of a specific person. The soldier would then shoot the gang leader in the head. After the killing of a handful of key agitators, the crowd would panic and flee. They could have killed dozens or hundreds, but they did not. They tried, in a difficult situation, to do this with the least possible loss of life.
The ANC was careful to portray this as an outright victory, and the whites were downplaying the strengths they still had. In fact, right up until the last moment, General Constand Viljoen had over 300,000 trained whites who could be expected to fight if he gave the order.
